Secretary General, Prof. NKENE BLAISE JACQUES

The General Secretariat is placed under the authority of a Secretary General, the Minister’s principal collaborator who follows the processing of the Department’s affairs and receives the necessary delegations of signature from the Minister.

 In this capacity he:

 
– coordinates the actions of the Central Administration and the decentralized services of the Ministry and holds coordination meetings for this purpose, the minutes of which are sent to the Minister;
– defines and codifies the internal procedures of the Ministry;
– ensures the continuing training of staff and organizes, under the authority of the Minister, seminars and refresher courses for professional development or specialization;
– monitors, where applicable, the actions of attached services, approves their action plan and receives their activity reports;
– ensures the speed of processing files, centralizes archives and manages the documentation of the Ministry.

 In the event of the absence or incapacity of the Secretary General, the Minister appoints a Director to serve as interim Secretary General.

– the Studies, Planning and Cooperation Unit;
– the Monitoring Unit;
– the Communication Unit;
– the Information Technology and Statistics Unit;
– the Translation Unit;
– the Reception, Mail and Liaison Sub-Directorate;
– the Documentation and Archives Service.
