MISSIONS:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Under the authority of a Director, the Directorate for the<\/span>
Development and Promotion of the Arts is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

– the development and implementation of the Government’s policy on the development and promotion of the arts, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span>
– the development and promotion of creation and production in the fields of performing, visual and applied arts;<\/span>
– the organization and supervision of the dissemination of works in the field of performing, visual and applied arts;<\/span>
– the promotion of all forms of expression and dissemination of the performing arts, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span>
– the definition of training programs in the fields of performing, visual and applied arts, in conjunction with the National Institute of Arts and Culture;<\/span>
– studies on public artistic practices in the fields of visual and specific performing arts.<\/span><\/p>

It includes:<\/span><\/p>

– the Sub-Directorate of Performing Arts;<\/span>
– the Sub-Directorate of Visual and Applied Arts.<\/span><\/p>

the Sub-Directorate of Performing Arts<\/span><\/p>

Under the authority of a Deputy Director, the Performing Arts Department<\/span>
is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

– the implementation of government policy in the fields of opera, choreography, drama, and literature;<\/span>
– the organization and supervision of the dissemination of works in the fields concerned;<\/span>
– the development and promotion of the creation and definition of training programs in the fields of the arts concerned, in conjunction with the National Institute of Arts and Culture;<\/span>
– the creation and updating of the national cultural map;<\/span>
– studies on public artistic practices in the fields of the arts concerned.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>

It includes:<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>

– the Lyric and Choreographic Arts Department;<\/span>
– the Dramatic and Literary Arts Department.<\/span><\/p>

Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Lyric and Choreographic Arts Department<\/span>
is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

– Monitoring the implementation of Government policy, particularly in the areas of classical and contemporary music, choral and epic singing, and traditional and contemporary dances;<\/span>
– Supervising and supporting the production of works and performances in the relevant fields;<\/span>
– Developing and monitoring the national cultural activities program;<\/span>
– Contributing to the creation of the national cultural map;<\/span>
– Developing and updating the database of professionals, venues, and events in the field of opera;<\/span>
– Supporting the activities of institutions and venues that present professional performances;<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>

– the study and implementation of training policies in the field of opera.<\/span><\/p>

Under the authority of a Head of Department, the<\/span>
Dramatic and Literary Arts Department is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

– Monitoring the implementation of Government policy, particularly in the fields of theatre, epic storytelling, poetry, novels and essays;<\/span>
– Supervising and supporting the production of works and shows in the relevant arts;<\/span>
– Developing and monitoring the national cultural activities program;<\/span>
– Contributing to the creation of the national cultural map;<\/span>
– Developing and updating the database of professionals, venues and events in the dramatic and literary arts;<\/span>
– Monitoring the implementation of training policies in the relevant arts.<\/span><\/p>

From the Sub-Directorate of Visual and Applied Arts<\/span><\/p>

Under the authority of a Deputy Director, the Sub-Directorate of<\/span>
Visual and Applied Arts is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

– the implementation of government policy in the fields of visual, applied and multimedia arts;<\/span>
– the organization and supervision of the dissemination of works in the fields of the arts concerned;<\/span>
– the development and implementation of the Government’s policy on the development and promotion of creation in the aforementioned fields of the arts;<\/span>
– the development and promotion of creation in the fields of the arts concerned;<\/span>
– the definition of training programs in the fields of the arts concerned, in conjunction with the National Institute of Arts and Culture;<\/span>
– studies on the artistic practices of the public in the fields of the arts concerned.<\/span><\/p>

It includes:<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>

– the Visual Arts Department;<\/span>
– the Applied Arts Department;<\/span>
– the Multimedia Arts Department.<\/span><\/p>

Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Visual Arts Department<\/span>
is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

– Monitoring the implementation of government policy in the fields of painting, sculpture, ceramics and art photography;<\/span>
– Studying and implementing policies for the training and professional integration of artists, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span>
– Participating in the development and implementation of regulations relating to initial, specialized and continuing training in the field of visual arts;<\/span>
– Maintaining the register of professionals in the visual arts sector.<\/span><\/p>

Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Applied Arts Department<\/span>
is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

– Monitoring the implementation of Government policy, particularly in the field of arts and crafts, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span>
– Implementing Government policy in the fields of fashion, haute couture, hairdressing and culinary arts;<\/span>
– Guiding and supporting the creation of works and productions in the relevant arts fields;<\/span>
– Developing and monitoring the cultural activities program;<\/span>
– Guiding and promoting amateur practices;<\/span>
– Contributing to the development of the cultural map in the field of specific arts;<\/span>
– Monitoring the implementation of training policies in the relevant arts fields.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>

Under the authority of a Head of Department, the<\/span>
Multimedia Arts Department is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

– Monitoring the implementation of Government policy, particularly in the fields of digital arts, graphic arts and design;<\/span>
– Guiding and supporting the creation of works and productions in the aforementioned fields;<\/span>
– Developing and monitoring the cultural activities program;<\/span>
– Guiding and promoting amateur practices;<\/span>
– Creating the cultural map in the field of multimedia arts;<\/span>
