Directorate of Cultural Heritage (DPC) <\/h4>

The Heritage Department, headed by a Director,<\/span><\/div>
Cultural is in charge:<\/span><\/div>

– the development and implementation of the Government’s policy on the promotion and protection of archaeological and museographic cultural heritage;<\/span><\/p>

– the development and monitoring of the implementation of cultural heritage law;<\/span><\/div>
– the protection and preservation of historical sites, places and monuments;<\/span><\/div>
– commemoration of historical figures, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span><\/div>
– of the general inventory of tangible and intangible cultural heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– the study, conservation and promotion of tangible and intangible cultural heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring and implementation, in conjunction with the Unit in charge of cooperation, of international cooperation in the areas of protection, conservation and promotion of cultural heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– the promotion of cultural diversity, in conjunction with relevant government departments.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
It includes:<\/span><\/div>
– the Sub-Directorate of Tangible Cultural Heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– the Sub-Directorate of Intangible Cultural Heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– the Sub-Directorate for Cultural Diversity.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
The Sub-Directorate of Tangible Cultural Heritage<\/span><\/div>

\u00a0Placed under the authority of a Deputy Director, the Sub-Directorate of<\/span><\/p>

Tangible Cultural Heritage is responsible for:<\/span><\/div>

– the inventory, protection, conservation and enhancement of movable and immovable heritage of historical, artistic or scientific interest, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span><\/p>

– the classification of cultural property;<\/span><\/div>
– restoration and monitoring of the management of movable and immovable cultural heritage, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span><\/div>
– control of the movement of works of art and cultural heritage goods within the national territory and abroad, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span><\/div>
– the establishment of the map of historical sites and monuments.<\/span><\/div>
(2) It includes:<\/span><\/div>
– the Real Estate Cultural Heritage Service;<\/span><\/div>
– the Museums Service;<\/span><\/div>
– the Archaeology Service.<\/span><\/div>

Article 25.- Placed under the authority of a Head of Service, the Heritage Service<\/span><\/p>

Culturel Immobilier is in charge:<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring the inventory, protection, conservation and enhancement of movable and immovable heritage, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring the restoration and management of movable and immovable cultural heritage, in conjunction with the relevant administrations;<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring of procedures for classifying cultural property;<\/span><\/div>

– the development and monitoring of the map and file of historical sites and monuments.<\/span><\/p>

Article 26. \u2013 Placed under the authority of a Head of Service, the Museums Service is<\/span><\/div>
charge :<\/span><\/div>

– monitoring the Government’s policy regarding museum heritage;<\/span><\/p>

– the preparation and monitoring of the application of the legislative and regulatory framework in the field of museum heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– the definition of technical standards applicable to museums;<\/span><\/div>
– the enrichment of public collections;<\/span><\/div>
– studies and development of research in the field of museum heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring the management of the National Museum;<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring international cooperation in all areas concerning museum activities;<\/span><\/div>
– the development of training in museology;<\/span><\/div>
– support for the conservation and promotion of community collections;<\/span><\/div>
– support for the creation of museums.<\/span><\/div>
Article 27.- Placed under the authority of a Head of Service, the Archaeology Service<\/span><\/div>
is in charge:<\/span><\/div>

– the development and monitoring of the implementation of the national program for archaeological research, in conjunction with the relevant administrations and organizations;<\/span><\/p>

– monitoring the protection, conservation and enhancement of archaeological heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring of methodological guidelines and methods of scientific control in archaeology;<\/span><\/div>
– the development of the national archaeological map;<\/span><\/div>
– participation in the preparation and updating of legislative and regulatory texts relating to archaeological heritage;<\/span><\/div>

– monitoring the application and legislation relating to the protection of archaeological heritage;<\/span><\/p>

– monitoring the application of legal and regulatory provisions relating to excavations and research.<\/span><\/div>
Section II: From the Sub-Directorate of Intangible Cultural Heritage<\/span><\/div>
Article 28.- (1) Placed under the authority of a Deputy Director, the Sub-Directorate of<\/span><\/div>
Intangible Cultural Heritage is responsible for:<\/span><\/div>

– the collection, centralization and exploitation of information relating to customs, practices, knowledge, rites and oral traditions, heritage dances and music, in their historical and socio-anthropological aspects;<\/span><\/p>

– inventory and monitoring of the implementation of actions to enhance intangible heritage;<\/span><\/div>
– from the repertoire of heritage music and dances;<\/span><\/div>
– the study and promotion of historical figures and places;<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring the celebration of commemorative holidays.<\/span><\/div>
(2) It includes:<\/span><\/div>
– the Living and Anthropological Heritage Service;<\/span><\/div>

Living and Anthropological is responsible for:<\/span><\/div>

Historical and Commemorative Events is in charge:<\/span><\/div>
– the study and promotion of historical figures and places;<\/span><\/div>
– monitoring of national commemorative holiday celebrations.<\/span><\/div>
Section III:<\/span><\/div>
From the Sub-Directorate of Cultural Diversity<\/span><\/div>
Article 31.- (1) Placed under the authority of a Deputy Director, the Sub-Directorate of the<\/span><\/div>
Cultural Diversity is responsible for:<\/span><\/div>
– the promotion of national artistic and cultural expressions;<\/span><\/div>
– the promotion of mother tongues and national languages, in conjunction with the relevant organizations and administrations;<\/span><\/div>
– the inventory of national languages, with a view to their preservation as a vehicle of cultural heritage, in conjunction with the administrations and bodies concerned;<\/span><\/div>
– the promotion of cultural values;<\/span><\/div>
– the training of documentation in the field of heritage.<\/span><\/div>
(2) It includes:<\/span><\/div>
– the Native and National Languages \u200b\u200bService;<\/span><\/div>
– the Service for Cultural Expressions and Values.<\/span><\/div>
Article 32. \u2013 The Language Service, placed under the authority of a Head of Service,<\/span><\/div>
Maternelles et Nationales is in charge of:<\/span><\/div>
– the promotion of mother tongues and national languages;<\/span><\/div>
– the inventory of languages, with a view to their preservation as a vehicle of cultural heritage, in conjunction with the administrations and organizations concerned;<\/span><\/div>
– from the central directory of mother tongues and national languages.<\/span><\/div>
Article 33. \u2013 Under the authority of a Head of Service, the Service for Cultural Expressions and Values \u200b\u200bis responsible for:<\/span><\/div>
– the promotion of cultural principles and values;<\/span><\/div>
– the promotion of national artistic and cultural expressions;<\/span><\/div>
